The Impossible task to improve Twitter


Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s new CEO, faces the impossible task to try and improve Twitter.

With investors disappointed with the lack of growth and revenue for the company and users wanting more characters and features added, where does Jack Dorsey begin? Ultimately what and who is Twitter for? How does it compete with instant messaging apps and the main rival Facebook?

Dorsey, knowing Twitter needs to change significantly and compete with the 1.49 billion users that visit Facebook every month compared to Twitter’s 320 million, took on this challenge from being one of the co-founders. Although one of his first big announcements did not go down well with current employees. Announcing that the Social Media giant would have to lay off about 335 employees due to the company’s growth.
