Alwinton is a village in Northumberland, England. At the confluence of the River Alwin and River Coquet just ten miles south of the Scottish Border, the village of Alwinton is the last settlement of the Coquet Valley situated close to the Northumberland National Park and Otterburn Army Training Estate. At the Heart of the village is Alwinton’s Rose & Thistle pub and The Alwinton Border Shepherd’s Show is held annually on the second Saturday in October.
