Brierfield

Brierfield is a small town in Lancashire, England. Before the building of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the introduction of road and rail links, there was just a few farmhouses. The town’s proximity of Burnley, Nelson and Reedley meant that, after the first Cotton Mill (Brierfield Mill) was built in 1832 located close to Marsden Pit, the town flourished. In Brierfield today you will see Brierfield Church of St Luke’s, Brierfield Bridge Club which was founded in 1981, Brierfield War Memorial and over Pendle Water – The Quaker Bridge.
