Hadfield is a town in the High Peak District of Derbyshire in England and is situated on the river Etherow between Bottoms Reservoir and Glossop Brook. Hadfield became known for their Waterside Mill & Bridge Mill which were built and developed for spinning and weaving, The Station Mill – a cotton mill and Hadfield Mills was a corn mill but was later converted to manufacture cotton. Today you can see St Charles Borromeo and evidence of TV series ‘The League of Gentlemen’ which was based on Hadfield - Royston Vasey. The Peel Arms Hadfield is also worth a visit, having gone a delicate renovation which has retained open fireplaces and traditional atmosphere.
