Kingussie is a town within the central Highlands of Scotland. Kingussie is the capital of Badenoch situated on the River Spey within the Cairngorms National Park. Newtonmore is only a short distance from Kingussie and is also the town’s greatest competitor in the games of Shinty – a game played historically throughout Scotland, Kingussie holding a record and winning 20 consecutive leagues. Kingussie is a great spot for outdoor activities including Mountain Biking, Watersports & Walking, but there are plenty of other attractions such as Kingussie Highland Wildlife Park, Insh Marshes RSPB Reserve, Iona Art Gallery and for a place to eat and stay, The Cross at Kingussie which was once a Tweed Mill. Kingussie is also Eco Cycle Adventures friendly.
