Robin Hood’s Bay is a Village on the Coast of North Yorkshire, England. Near to the towns of Whitby & Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay is situated within the North York Moors. Robin Hood’s Bay, an old fishing village, meanders down on to the beach along the way the cobbled streets are lined with red-roofed fishermen cottages, pubs and inns while the upper half of the village is a Victorian splendour. During the 18th & 19th the village was characterised by smuggling of contraband due to its secluded located, a risky business but often worth the reward! Attractions here include the Robin Hood’s Bay & Flyingdales Museum, a walk along the beach or the cliff path from Robin Hood’s Bay to Boggle Hole, Old Coastguard Station Museum, Coast to Coast Walk and Robin Hood’s Bay to Maw Wyke Walk. Robin Hood’s Bay is Eco Cycle Adventures friendly.
