Whitby is a town in North Yorkshire, England. Situated at the mouth of the River Esk and North York Moors, close to the surrounding villages of Staithes, Robin Hood’s Bay, Goathland, Danby and Castleton. Whitby is an ancient sea port and in addition to the stunning moorland, it has the added benefit of beautiful heritage coastline. Things to see & do here are The Studio of John Freeman, The Victorian Image Studio, Whitby Abbey and Whitby Galleries. Museums are plentiful too, there is the Whitby Museum & Pannett Art Gallery, Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum & Captain Cook Memorial Museum. Whitby is Eco Cycle Adventures friendly.
